It is like the Sahara in my basement. OK. I am exaggerating, but this dehumidifier is really working. My humidity dropped 20% in 2 days. The only issue is I cannot empty the water fast enough. I have heard that after a year or so there may be issues with its reliability but for now, it is humming. DiabilityBuzz.com was right on with its review.

So far so good. Seems to be fairly well represented in the item description for what what the buyer receives. Works well. Also- did not notice a big increase in the electricity bill, I did not have an air conditioner prior to this one.

Seems to be better to run on medium fan setting. The noise is not too loud at any setting, but inconsistent sound at lowest fan setting tends to keep me awake, the medium setting is more even and makes it easier to sleep.

This filter is average at best. I previously owned a GE fridge with a Culligan filter. The water produced by that fridge and filter was superior to the water produced by the Frigidaire fridge with the PureSource filter.

I am cool!!!!! after a week of being way too hot, need I say more? My husband says that it was easy to install, he loves the remote ( what guy wouldn't). I think it is a little louder than our last one, but I think it cools better. What we really liked and appreciated was the excellent shipping service we received. After many hours of reading through Amazon reviews looking for the perfect dehumidifier, I realized that they are none. Most dehumidifiers out there are not made to last anymore. They tend to break in a year or one summer season from what reviewers posted. Some reviewers mentioned that warranty is useless because of the labor cost to replace the covered parts. I didn't want to spend $200 on a dehumidifier that lasts one season. I'm sure you don't either.

I ended up with the Frigidaire unit because of the lack of reviews (good or bad) and the 5 year compressor (1 year parts and labor) warranty. I have used it for two months now and it works well in drying up my basement. Hopefully it lasts.

Here are my Likes and Dislikes...
Good: Strong fan to circulate the air
Good: Wheels makes it easy to move the heavy unit
Good: Handle on top of the dehumidifier and on the top of the bucket
Good: Well priced. (Long Islanders - Qualify for the $10 LIPA rebate)
Bad: It is not quiet but for a basement unit I don't mind the noise

Other Note: Kill-A-Watt meter shows that uses around 600 watt of electricity with the compress on.

I received several different sample stainless steel cleaners with the purchase of several new kitchen appliances. Cerama Bryte stainless steel cleaner and polish was by far the best. It cleans, shines and prevents finger prints. It is now all I use on my stainless steel. A great value and lasts a long time.
