It's a nice size for an apartment or college dorm. It's slightly bigger than the smallest microwaves out there. For the most part it's a guood buy at this price. It has stainless steel front panels. The two things I didn't like about this unit is the door is pretty loud when you close it. Also the LCD is not backlit so you need to turn on the light to see the time. Also when you open the door the inside of the microwave does not light up. It only lights up during heating. The carousel is not noisy like some of the reviewers say. You need to correctly align the carousel plate with the three rollers.

Have only had for a few days, so perhaps a review is premature? Regardless, it arrived in good working condition, and is a microwave. Is there much else to say?

On the negative side, from day one, nuke one, the LCD panel fogs up from steam from the inside of the microwave I'd assume. Now, I'm no electronics design guru, but that can't be good sign for the life of the internal components.

It replaced my old Amana, which was over 20 years old, working like a champ, but starting to spark a bit. That thing was half microwave, half Russian nuclear sub. Somehow I'm doubting this one will make the 20 year mark.

ITEM IS A COMPLETE RIP OFF!!! BUYER BEWARE!!! Made in Thailand, should of been my first clue. It wasn't built to ul specs, many problems with it. That loud noise is the microwaves going everywhere but the inner chamber to heat the food, that and a burning smell, surprised I didn't burn down the kitchen. Never tripped the breaker, but had a nice headache. DO NOT BUY THIS.. I hope this is just a Knockoff of a real microwave, because if this is a Sharp, I won't ever buy one again.

While the item offers plenty of bells and whistles and the option of convection cooking, it does only a fair job of the microwaving. Often it seems that the device does not sufficiently heat an item despite following the recommended time on the package. After experience with other microwaves it became clear that the microwave does a poor job of heating items that are low on the carousel.

Popcorn is made in 1:45, depending on the brand it may even need less time to cook. All food and drinks heated in the oven are heated well and fast.

Gave it 4 stars because the number keypad is covered by the door. There are only 4 buttons outside: popcorn, 1 Minute Plus, Stop/Clear and Start. So to set any timing or food cooking you have to: 1- put the food in the microwave. 2- with the door open set your cooking time and preferences. 3- close the door, 4- press start.

This is uncommon way for setting a microwave and it disrupts the typical way of 1- put food in, 2-close door, 3- set cook time, 4- press start. Which tends to be a little bit faster.

My parents first bought this microwave, and I did a lot of research and ended up with the same one. I must be honest, the main requirement for me was size and looks, so this is not only huge but was the best looking unit (at the time at least, I don't know what is out there now). Anyway... I have loved this thing since the day I got it. I use it at least once a day, and haven't had any problems with it (knock on wood*). It's very powerful, and will boil a mug of water in less than 1:30. I also use the 'sensor reheat' button a lot, and must say it usually heats up any dish perfectly (95% of the time, the other 5% it just didn't heat it enough). That includes differing sized dishes! I also use the quick 1-minute cook-time increment trick of just hitting the start button. You can hit the start button multiple times in a row to go for 1,2,3... minutes. Anyway... I'm really happy with my investment, and so far mine and my parents (they've had there's for about 3 years) are still going strong. Great unit!

I have used Sharp microwaves for quite some time (R-510H previous to this one)& love many of their features [minute plus, hot water button, keep warm function, audible signal elimination & the ability to set multiple cooking times so it will continue to cook at different powers, etc.) The Sharp R-320 has all of these features but I find it interesting that some reviewers say it does a GREAT job doing popcorn while others say it burns the popcorn in the center of the bag & I would like to share my experience with all of you on this point. Both my brother-in-law & myself are popcorn addicts & we both had owned this particular microwave at the same time. In essence we have tried EVERYTHING in trying to pop pocorn without burning the kernels or not burning anything in the bag but having 60 to 70 unpopped kernals left in the bag, because that is what it would take NOT to burn any kernals & obviously that is quite a waste. I even tried to "warm up" the bag at 30 seconds at 30% power & then try it- it helped somewhat but still did not resolve the bigger problem! Anyway this is what we discovered: if you pop a bag of popcorn with high butter content [or high fat content] it did a fairly good job of popping the entire bag without burning anything. HOWEVER if you like light butter, 50% less fat, or any kind of low fat popcorn, FORGET IT, as it will not come out as desired. We did not always just use the popcorn sensor button either as we tried putting in many different times manually but to no avail. This microwave really does have alot of terrific features but be informed about the popcorn situation if that is important to you. In any case we both returned our respective microwaves & both bought the Sharp R-402J & we are in popcorn heaven!!! Low fat or not it does a fantastic job with the popcorn at around 1:30 at high-not one burnt kernal!! (and not too many unpopped ones either!!) You do lose some features [hot water & keep warm] but we are very happy with this product. Also the display is much easier to see than the R-320 for those of you who are interested. I believe Amazon had the best price on this model last time I checked but that has been a while so check around in any case. Take care everyone!

Not had it long, but liking it so far. Everything I want from a microwave. Looks good, good size, fits large dinner plate, easy controls, sturdy and efficient. Very good price for a high quality microwave.
