I have had this grinder for several years. I like it. It's just what I wanted and needed. I have no complaints. Everything works, it's not too noisy, and it does a great job.

Cuisinart DBM-8 Supreme Grind Automatic Burr Mill kitchen appliance reviews

kitchen appliance reviews Cuisinart DBM-8 Supreme Grind Automatic Burr Mill
Yes, this grinder conveniently stores beans in the hopper, has a huge number of grind settings, and makes great coffee. But even if you get over how loud it is, the plastic grind bin is the worst product design I've ever seen. The plastic gets a static charge which make grounds (I grind "medium") cling to it. I defy you to dump the grounds into a coffee pot without making a colossal mess. I've had 5 different people try it (to make sure it wasn't just me) but there are grounds on the counter, the floor, and all over the coffee pot itself. How could this have gotten thru product testing?!

Krups GVX2-12 Burr Grinder kitchen appliance reviews

kitchen appliance reviews Krups GVX2-12 Burr Grinder
I chose this burr grinder to replace a high-quality but fragile Bodum machine I got tired of repairing. I wish I had done so years ago. After careful cleaning and setup (NECESSARY) I get small quantities of perfectly ground coffee delivered quickly and quietly from a machine which occupies little counter space. This burr grinder does exactly what you want and does it well.

Toastmaster Coffee Grinder kitchen appliance reviews

kitchen appliance reviews Toastmaster Coffee Grinder
Let's face it for the low price this toastmaster grinder is sold at it does the job and then some. The coffee I grind is ground down quickly and efficiently and with less noise than I expected from coffee beans being ground to a pulp. The only con (as with most coffee grinders) is that if coffee finds its way between the body and the lid it will eventually end up on your counter.

Waring Pro MG-800 Professional Meat Grinder, Brushed Stainless Steel kitchen appliance reviews

kitchen appliance reviews Waring Pro MG-800 Professional Meat Grinder, Brushed Stainless Steel
This meat grinder is easy to assemble and does a good job grinding meat. I have only used it for beef to make burgers - about 8 burgers at a time. It cleans relatively easy, especially if you run saltines through it at the end of your grind. I got that tip from another review.

The grinding plate and the blade can apparently rust, but I haven't had a problem with that yet, though I have cleaned them meticulously, oiled them and stored them in wax paper. When I first unpacked them, they smelled like elementary school art class. I don't think it would make you sick, but I gave all of the components a really good wash before I started grinding.

To the important part - are the burgers better? I would vote yes. If you use a nice cut of sirloin, the burgers are amazing. Plus, I feel safer about cooking them medium rare, or rare. You can also grind sweet onions into the beef which ads a lot of flavor. I have been smoking my burgers for 30 minutes at 180* using mesquite on my Traeger grill and then cooking at a high heat on a Weber grill. Perfection.

Rival 2275-WN Electric Food Grinder kitchen appliance reviews

kitchen appliance reviews Rival 2275-WN Electric Food Grinder
I paid for another meat grinder a few years back that, bit the dust, first it cost more, then the Rival, it made more noise, it weighed more. So far I have had only the best experience with the Rival Food Grinder, it's light compared to other electric grinders I have owned, costs less, and is extremely easy to assemble and disassemble. So far it's the best one I have owned for the cost.

Bodum 5679-01USA C-Mill Blade Grinder kitchen appliance reviews

kitchen appliance reviews Bodum 5679-01USA C-Mill Blade Grinder
This is a very nice and efficient small whirling blade grinder. I have had one for several years and like it much better than the other popular models (Krups etc.) that I've owned previously. It is an outstanding value.

As usual some of the reviews here make no sense. I recommend you take them with a load of salt.

It grinds plenty fast so grind only what you need and more importantly, a reasonable amount at a time and you won't have problems getting the grind size you want. I find the sound much less annoying than others I've owned/used.

peace
bb

Cuisinart MM-2M Mini Mate Chopper / Grinder kitchen appliance reviews

kitchen appliance reviews Cuisinart MM-2M Mini Mate Chopper / Grinder
I got this as a freebie with my Cuisinart food processor, and because it was free it gets a star. If I had bought this little useless contraption, I would outright fail it.

Here's a quick list of it's flaws:

1. Hard to clean
2. Hard to control. You're always one pulse away from turning chopped into paste.
3. Grinds coffee inconsistently, leaving a mixture of fine powder with big chunks.
4. Unable to grind most spices beyond course grit.
5. Low and High setting seem to really mean "vibrate lots" or "vibrate everything on the counter."
6. Very counterintuitive design. Filling the bottom with whatever you happen to be grinding makes it difficult to put the blade on it's plastic node thingy.
7. Cheaply constructed. Aformentioned plastic node thingy the blade slides on stripped with proper use. Plastic container got a fracture the bottom within weeks and scarred easily from grinding. White top stains easily.
8. Loud.

Positives:

1. Free

Do not buy this. Get it for free with a rebate and use it until you have enough saved for a proper grinder.

Kidco Baby Food Mill w/ Spoon kitchen appliance reviews

kitchen appliance reviews Kidco Baby Food Mill w/ Spoon
A tip - we mix whatever we're having for dinner, and if it's too dry or doesn't grind well, we add some cottage cheese. It helps it go through the grinder, and makes it stick together so it's easier to handle the food.
I notice one review found the unit hard to disassemble. It *is* a little confusing at first (you unscrew the knob at the top and the crank fits on a spline, which is counterintuitive), but once you get the hang of it I found it to be straightforward. We have never bought any baby food (have you ever tasted that stuff?) and always gave our daughter what we were having, including all the spicy stuff! Now she is a great eater and shies away from very few foods.

DeLonghi DCG39 Electric Grinder, 2.36-Ounce Capacity kitchen appliance reviews

kitchen appliance reviews DeLonghi DCG39 Electric Grinder, 2.36-Ounce Capacity
Works well, turns dried products to powder and can grind hard spices as well. Only negative is that the Cup/container doesn't remove to be cleaned, but it's quite easy to clean with a paper towel.
